Details Of Why Sarkodie’s Performance In Paris Failed To Happen surfaced Online

The agency cited unresolved contractual issues as the root cause of the abrupt decision.

Initially, Sarkodie‘s performance was slated to be part of the Africa Fan Zone event at Station Afrique.

However, despite extensive efforts by Eagle Plug to ensure that the show went on as planned, the event’s organizing agency failed to uphold its contractual obligations.

The news of the cancellation was confirmed by Eagle Plug, the agency representing Sarkodie, in a detailed state.

Eagle Plug stated in a press release that although the performance contract was signed two months prior, it became more and more clear as the event date drew near that the organising agency had not complied with the necessary requirements for Sarkodie’s performance.

“Eagle Plug regrets to announce the cancellation of Sarkodie’s scheduled performance at the Station Afrique (Africa Fan Zone) event in Paris today, August 9, 2024. Although our best efforts were made to honour the commitment, the agency responsible for the event has failed to fulfill its obligations,” the statement read.

The agency continued to vent their frustrations, describing how, although being aware of the difficulties involved in producing an event of this magnitude, they had been patient and understanding throughout the preparation process.

Despite this, the agency’s insistence that Sarkodie’s presence in Paris would address all unresolved matters turned out to be a hollow assurance.

Many of Sarkodie’s fans were naturally saddened by the postponement, as they had looked forward to his performance being a big feature of the Africa Fan Zone event. Eagle Plug apologised to the supporters as a result, expressing sorry for the unfavourable course of events and pledging to make it up to them later.
