Online users have criticised self-proclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale for making fun of Sarkodie in an unintentional video posted to X, a platform that was formerly Twitter. In the aforementioned video, Shatta Wale was heard boasting about his wealth and achievements.
He restated his claim to be the wealthiest musician in the nation and to possess numerous buildings, but he insisted that he would never purchase a Lamborghini, Bugatti, or Rolls Royce out of self-indulgence.
He made fun of rapper Sarkodie for implying that the Panamera is his ideal car, citing the musician’s frequent mentions of the sports car in most of his songs. Shatta Wale continued by interrogating Sarkodie’s admirers. Most internet users found Shatta Wale’s remark offensive, questioning why the dancehall artist felt the need to include Sarkodie.
Most of the people who left comments on the post encouraged him not to provoke his coworkers’ problems all the time. Some, however, respected him for his uncanny ability to stay current and popular at all times. Former best buddies Sarkodie and Shatta Wale have had an extremely strained relationship in recent years.
Despite their repeated claims in interviews that they are brothers and have nothing against one another, they have each produced a diss song in the past two years.
