Ghanaians urge Sarkodie to win a Grammy with a new collaboration with Bob Marley

As Sarkodie appears on the new version of Stir it Up with the Wailers and reggae great Bob Marley, Ghanaian Twitter is swamped with messages of support for him.

The release of this music will take place tomorrow, December 20.

The Bob Marley estate’s official Twitter account shared the news. The message reads: “New version of “Stir It Up” featuring Ghanaian musician @Sarkodie coming FRIDAY! http://bobmarley.lnk.to/Sardokie-StirItUp is a pre-save.

They also included a quotation from Sarkodie, who hailed the occasion as one of his career’s major highs.

“One of the proudest moments in my life/career… such a blessing to lay my voice next to the original vocals of the legend, said #Sarkodie.

Despite calls from artists like Jay Z who wanted to be associated with Bob Marley, Ghanaians have conveyed congratulations to Sarkodie, who has been picked.

Social media responses demonstrate the support and togetherness for Ghanaian music, as well as the attention that this enormous accomplishment gives to the African continent.

Bob Marley’s tweet was also positively retweeted by Sarkodie, who added the following caption: “Finally we get to share with the world!!! Unquestionably, the biggest honour in my musical career. This is Friday, we love it! More tales to tell.

Sarkodie keeps adding achievements to his resume and relentlessly promotes Ghanaian music around the world.
