One of the most successful African rappers, widely known as Sarkodie, who was the first Ghanaian to win the BET Award for Best International Act: Africa, has revealed how his Music Manager get scared when he sees him wearing suit.
In an exclusive one on one interview with DJ Semtex on his Hip Hop Raised Me Show, Sarkodie made known to his fans how his music life started from his childhood.
According to the winner of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award 2019 for Artiste of the Decade, he had a very dark time when he was a child by living with someone who was very bad person to him, and that really made him very reserved.
When asked by the host, if he had experienced a moment in his career to think he had to do something bigger than rap, Sarkodie replied that, he had always worked hard for the upgrade in his career.
He said, ” when I started my music journey, my hype was to win more rap battles, get more singles on the Airwaves, win awards, shoot good videos, and after getting all these, nothing really moved again”.
He further indicated that, ” he has been multi tasking him self recently to the extent that, his Manager calms him down that, he miss me been an artiste”.
“When he sees me in suits, he knowns there is meeting upon meeting that’s taking my mind from music”.
Sarkodie has been working with his childhood manager Angel Town over decades, and together with the Sarkcess Team, they have attain the highest level in the Music Industry both home and abroad.
