I Promise to “Make Tema Shine Again” -Sarkodie

Sarkodie, a rapper who goes by the stage name Michael Owusu Addo, has vowed to support the Tema Metropolitan Assembly’s (TMA) “Make Tema Shine Again” plan.

To help Tema regain its previous glory as the first well-planned city south of the Sahara, the TMA recently started an agenda to solicit cooperation from businesses and individuals within the Tema Metropolis.

Sarkodie, a rapper, musician, and businessman from Tema, promised his support for the project when he paid Mr. Yohane Amarh Ashitey, the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, a courtesy visit.

The rapper made a suggestion that he planned to support a programme that would help Tema’s young as part of his contribution to advancing the agenda and as a way to give back to the industrial port city.

He praised the MCE for having the vision to mobilise everyone to pay their fair share in order to restore Tema to its former status as Ghana’s centre of entertainment.

When he was a young lad growing up in Tema, Mr. Ashitey recalled how he adored listening to Tema-based musicians like the late A. B. Crentsil, the late Jewel Ackah, and Smart Nkansah among many others who kept the city very alive.

Sarkodie, Kwasi Arthur, and many more people, he continued, have taken up the cause and are proud of Tema.
