Arnold reveals why Sarkodie made the best decision by refusing to sign with Akon’s record label.

According to entertainment journalist Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, Sarkodie made the right choice by refusing to deal with the record company owned by Senegalese-American musician Akon.

Recall that there was some controversy surrounding Akon’s desire to add rapper Sarkodie to the Konvict music record company.

Before Akon admitted in an interview that he couldn’t sign Sarkodie because he wasn’t ready, several people believed it to be a myth. He revealed that his staff had noticed Sarkodie was not mentally prepared for the level change and preferred to concentrate on Ghana.

Arnold seemed to feel differently about the signing of the rapper Saekodie, though. He said the rapper made the right choice in doing that.

Arnold Asamoah Baidoo made this remark in response to dancehall artist Shatta Wale’s recent claim that Sarkodie missed an opportunity to capitalise on his relationship with Akon to become more significant.

If that’s true, one of Sarkodie’s biggest decisions was to reject signing to Akon’s label. Arnold says in an interview for the entertainment news review show on Peace FM, “It’s his biggest decision.

Who do you know from the Akon label? OJ Boo Dirty, Demarco, Money J, Yaa Boy, and Omega are just a few of the signees. With the direction Sarkodie has taken his career on his own, I couldn’t be happier. See for yourself how Sarkodie has elevated his career from this location to that of a global leader.

“Shatta Wale cannot compare to Sarkodie in terms of global influence. It is true. How was he able to take advantage of Beyonce’s involvement? Since 2019, artists like Burna Boy have won Grammys and performed in huge stadiums. Arnold questioned, “Why is Wale not comparing himself to Burna Boy?”
