Beat maker for Sarkodie’s ‘Original’ Song reveals how he created the beat in his bedroom

The highlight of SARKODIE’s stunning performance at the Global Citizen Festival hosted at Black Star Square last Saturday was his rendition of an original song.

However, many of the supporters who applauded and sang along to the well-known Original song—which Sarkodie referred to as an anthem song for Sarknatives—may not be aware of the person who created the beat.

Fortune Dane introduces himself as a record producer, beat maker, singer, composer of film scores, rap artist, songwriter, and sound mixer and mastering.

He created the beat for Original in his bedroom, according to Fortune.

I won’t lie… I haven’t heard “ORIGINAL” in a long time. I tend not to listen to my music once it has been out. But yeah, shivers seeing SARK play last night! This beat was created in my bedroom, I think. I just stood there in shock, wondering what I had done. Then I said, “God, we did it,” and I looked up. This album, which was released nine years ago, has twice the impact.

“I’ve been away for the past few years honing my sound and creating the scores for a few films and video games. When Sarkodie releases his album #Jamz, I go worry about this guy, Walahi. We haven’t finished yet,” he wrote on his Facebook wall.
