Anorld Asamoah Baidoo, a Ghanaian entertainment pundit, stated on United Showbiz that Sarkodie’s show should be commended for opening doors for Black Sherif.
The young artist, who was the lone nominee from Ghana, worked with a number of well-known artists, including Burnaboy, R2Bees, Kwesi Arthur, DJ Breezy, and DJ Khaled of American music fame.
Prior to this, he made history by becoming the first artist from Ghana to exceed 100 million Boomplay streams.
He thinks Black Sherif’s success in using his home tongue to penetrate this far was influenced by Sarkodie, the first African artist to win the BET BEST INTERNATIONAL FLOW with his own tongue.

Along with Benjamin Epps, Blaxckie, Central Cee, Haviah Mighty, Knucks, and ale Juiice, Black Sherif was nominated.
