Ghana’s most decorated artiste and one of Africa’s best rappers, Sarkodie has topped nominations at the just-ended nominees’ announcement and launch of Ghana Music Awards UK, 2022.
The nominees were announced on July 1st, 2022, during a well-attended ceremony at the Omanye Hall, Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Sarkodie, who has won several awards including Best Rapper and Artiste of The Year for this prestigious award, leads with the highest nominations of seven, followed by Diana Hamilton, Akwaboah, and Kidi, who received 6 nominations each.
The sensational Black Sherif and King Promise came as 3rd highest artistes with 5 nominations each.
The Sugarcane hitmaker Camidoh, Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy, Sista Afia, Fameye, and Shatta Wale, all had 4 nominations to their credit.
The 6th edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK would be held on October 29th in London. Though organizers have not officially announced the venue yet, there are speculations the event may happen at the same venue where it happened last year.
